I am delighted to have had two pictures accepted into the Society of Graphic Fine Arts (SGFA) Annual Open Exhibition at the Menier Gallery in London.
This will be the first time that my work has been accepted into a London gallery and I’m incredibly proud and excited to have finally achieved this.
The exhibition opens on October 21st (12.30-6pm) Then October 22nd – November 2nd (11am-6pm, 5pm on last day) but closed Sunday 27th.
The first piece is based on the story of the almost certain extinction of the slender billed curlew. The piece was inspired and based on the book ‘Orison for a Curlew‘ by Horatio Clare. The reflection is made up of the countries that have led to this birds almost certain demise.
The swallow piece below is shown before framing and tells the story of the arduous journey this little bird takes each year from Africa to the U.K.
